A scrapolicious weekend . . .

My friend Sabrina was home all weekend without kids . . . she has four . . . yeah, it was a big deal! Thinking of you Sabrina . . . (smile). I'm guessing she did some scrapbooking too. The Quote Challenge at Scrapable.net required us to make a layout using this quote: If friends were flowers, I'd pick you. Since Sabrina is my best friend . . .

Hope you like it!
I got this fabulous kit called One Fine Day from My Creative Pixels with a gift certificate from Scrapable.net for winning Layout of the Week and went to town . . . I made three layouts already with it . . . I'm absolutely in love with this kit . . . I love the word strips, the colors, the elements . . . just everything about it. And with all the layouts I've made for the Scrapable.net challenges . . . I'm well on my way to earning another $5.00 store gift certificate just for play along!
This layout I did for the Scraplift Challenge . . . remember those photos I took of Chrystal, Joe and baby Savannah . . . you knew I'd be using them for layouts right? Before long, I'll have a little gift scrapbook for Chrystal!
This layout was for the 1, 2, 3 Challenge . . . they give you a list of required items to use. In this case, it was:
1. Photo
2. Leaves or leafy springs.
3. Flowers
4. Circles or round elements.
5. Other items.
Jaimee is hosting the Technique Challenge and has an great tutorial on using brushes in Photoshop. She even gives you some FREE brushes (for personal and CU use) to use for the challenge. I used them to "paint" the background paper on this layout which ties into my journaling. Love it!
And this layout I made a while ago and am posting it because it features Sabrina's only daughter Katie Joe . . . my favorite niece and I think it's pretty!
