. . . and Chicken Corn Chowder!

Dinner is ready . . . I had leftover corn on the cob, white and red potatos, grilled chicken breast, so I just had to make Chicken Corn Chowder.

This is such a hearty soup that tastes even better as a leftover!

Apple Pie Anyone?

What is more summer time, small town and all American than applie pie . . . while I was making it, there was a Food Stylist 2008 show on Food Network . . .

If you've never heard of a food stylist . . . they are a makeup artist for food! How cool is that?!! They prepare the food for photography. So on this challenge, they are given a handful of ingredients and then challenged to create a specific food layout for the photographer. So you get to see the tricks of the trade and just as exciting for me . . . how the photographer captured the images.
So, I thought I would do some styling myself with my apple pie . . . I know, you probably think I have too much time on my hands don't you?!! (wink)

Here are my images:

The Carnival is in Town!

The Enola fire department's hosted the first carnival here in over a decade . . . so we ventured out last night for the opening night . . .

Wow - I look like a photographer!

Last week, Sabrina and I visited the boys at camp and I used the opportunity to do a mini photo shoot with my neice's daughter, Brittany. Sabrina took photos of me - taking photos . . . how cool is that!
